KPOU Annual Operations
Every takeoff and landing the Hudson Valley Regional Airport control tower counted, year by year since 2019, from the FAA's own published figures. Local operations are aircraft that stay in the traffic pattern, mostly training circuits and touch-and-goes; itinerant operations arrive from or leave for somewhere else.

About these figures
- An operation is one takeoff or one landing, so a flight that leaves and returns is two, and each touch-and-go counts as two local operations. Half the total is roughly the number of takeoffs.
- The tower counts only while it is open, 7 am to 9 pm (10 pm in summer). Evening and overnight flights are not in these figures.
- Itinerant traffic arrives from or leaves for another airport. Local traffic stays in the pattern or nearby practice areas, which at KPOU is mostly flight training.
- Source: FAA Air Traffic Activity System (ATADS), Airport Operations, facility POU, aspm.faa.gov, 2019-01-01 to 2026-08-31, retrieved 2026-10-10. The FAA publishes with a lag of a month or more.
- The forecast line is the airport master plan preferred forecast (Hudson Valley Regional Airport Master Plan, Section 3.7, Tables 3.15 and 3.17 (pp. 3-23 to 3-27)). It starts from the 2021 FAA count of 58,306 operations and applies the FAA's national growth rate for towered general-aviation airports, 0.8% a year, reaching 68,379 in 2041 with a 51% itinerant / 49% local split.
